Mishcon de Reya MDR Lab - Legal Tech Startups wanted

by Startacus Admin
Legal Tech Startups, you’ve until the 12th March to get your application in to join Mishcon de Reya’s MDR Lab programme. Intrigued? We outline all the key details below:
MDR LAB is a programme for tech startups in the legal space, hosted at Mishcon de Reya’s offices in central London.
Based in London with offices in New York, Mishcon de Reya services an international community of clients and provides advice in situations where the constraints of geography often do not apply. The work they undertake is cross-border, multi-jurisdictional and complex.
Open to early-stage and growing technology legal startups, the MDR Lab programme is welcoming applications from innovative legal tech startups both at the concept stage and those that are already generating revenue.
They are particularly interested in innovations that relate to one of the following categories:
Litigation
Lawyers have seen an explosion in the amount of information they need to manage through the litigation process. MDR LAB are looking for innovations that can help their lawyers make sense of and use this data in a more effective and efficient way to achieve better outcomes for clients.
Transactional Law
Clients are constantly challenging lawyers to work quicker and more cost effectively. MDR LAB want to hear from businesses that are developing technology that could help streamline transactions. This might be through smarter document reviewing and creation, automation of processes or innovations that disrupt an entire category of transactional law.
Business of Law
Providing the best service for clients relies on systems and infrastructure that are easy to use and efficient. From tracking the progress of cases to communicating with clients and managing costs, MDR LAB are looking for technology that can help them run their business in a way that maintains the highest quality service for their clients.
Wildcard
Some innovations are hard to categorise. The wildcard category is intended to capture those innovations that don’t fit within one of the above three category areas.
Why Apply for MDR LAB?
The MDR LAB is not simply about startup investment, but more of a collaboration working with a handful of selected startups on a mutually beneficial programme, giving legal startups the opportunity to:
