Micro Biz Matters Day- 8 Minute Challenge

by Startacus Admin
Would you give up 8 minutes of your time to help out another micro business?
On 8th January 2016 you will have the opportunity to do just that through the second annual Micro Biz Matters Day, a project which premiered last year and which saw micro business* owners from around the world dedicate 8 minutes of their time to helping each other out.
*A micro business is one which has 0-9 people working in it... So now you know!
The global event is being organised by widely known and well-respected entrepreneurs Tony Robinson and Tina Boden, who have been vocal advocates of the micro business (MB) community for many years. In 2012 they launched ‘Enterprise Rockers’ a new community and network composed of MB owners from around the Globe.
The event is supported by some of the world’s biggest names in micro and small business including accounting service provider Sage and tech company Microsoft.
At the heart of the event is the notion that MBs are strongest when they stand together and that they must look to one another for help and support.
Where is it taking place?
Absolutely anywhere in the whole world.
It doesn’t matter whether you are on land, sea, or in the air, Micro Biz Matters Day is a global event that all MBs can get involved with.
What can you do?
You can spend your 8 minutes doing pretty much anything, provided that it is helping a micro business. This year the 3 main areas that Tony and Tina would like participants to work with each other on are #Customers, #Cashflow, and #Chat. When you think about it that's a huge scope for anyone wishing to get involved!
All the suggested actions and donations are going to be taken by someone, somewhere on #MicroBizMattersDay 2016. Why not pledge a donation now? You can get some inspiration by taking a look at some of the things that others have already pledged for the event.
The team at Enterprise Rockers expect that hundreds of thousands of MB owners from all over the world will take part in this year’s event, with some predicting that participation might reach the 1M level.
“This annual day of Recognition, Action and Learning helps us achieve the aim of the Enterprise Rockers’ global community and movement that we launched in January 2012; that aim is ‘to make life better for micro enterprise owners everywhere”
