Medicus AI - medical data and insight made easy

by Startacus Admin
We take a look at smart platform and app Medicus AI, the startup that's empowering people to participate in their health and wellbeing decisions with easy-to-understand health insights.

Dubai-founded and Vienna-based tech startup Medicus AI is! The AI-based platform interprets and explains blood tests and medical reports to provide personalized health tips, actionable recommendations, and lifestyle coaching. All you have to do is point your phone’s camera at the report for it to scan, and confusing numbers and medical jargon become meaningful information that you can act on.
Medicus AI runs purely on medical literature, approved knowledge and national guidelines, with 120,000 rules guiding it. 1,000 runs per rule means the engine goes through a detailed medical validation process to ensure the highest accuracy; all content is presented in a simple, clear, but medically accurate manner. And for the security conscious (which we should all be), your data is stored only on your phone, and is never transmitted anywhere.
Medicus AI won second prize in the Digital Wellbeing category of 2018’s EIT Digital Challenge, where 25 finalists from 11 European countries were shortlisted from 200. Recently, they raised a Series A funding round of €2.75 million, and intend to raise another €2.25 million shortly.
And they deserve it. Such a simple yet vital piece of software could have a huge impact on how people deal with their medical reports, and how quickly they can start to act on them.
