Event: How Startups and Big Business can Innovate Together
At 6.30pm on Tuesday 4th October 2016 join Startacus and Inevert in Manchester (at SpaceportX) for a Startup meetup & social where you will also find out how your startup can accelerate its growth through corporate collaborations, and partnerships with Big Business. You can book your ticket here.
Successful and mutually beneficial collaborations between Startups and Corporates are becoming an increasingly important element of the UK startup ecosystem. But for many startups there are still major difficulties in actually connecting with these businesses and fostering valuable working relationships.
In this evening social we will explore and discuss the reasons that Corporates are so keen to work with startups, why corporate innovation is so important, and how Startups can accelerate their growth by engaging with them.
But there is a twist! Instead of asking startups to pitch to big businesses (as is customary) we will instead be inviting three leading brands to pitch to attending startups!
Hear from Royal Bank of Scotland, Ordnance Survey and SAGE explain what they are doing within the startup ecosystem - how they are supporting startups, why working with them is a great opportunity, and what they can offer to help accelerate startup growth. Find out more about the speakers here.
The event co-host and sponsor Inevert (a platform which bridges the gap between startups and corporate collaboration opportunities) will then chair a panel discussion on how Startups and Big Business can Innovate Together, including guests brands and representatives from Tech North and NESTA.
Of course there will be plenty of beer, wine, soft drinks and pizza too. Tickets are free but limited so do book your ticket asap.
