Looking for £1 Million for your Startup?

by Startacus Admin
Forgive the tabloid style headline to this article - but it is a rather noteworthy statement after all - and we ain't telling porkies either! Interested in finding out more? Then read on!
The Million Pound Startup competition is back. Last year Digital Shoreditch, raised the Startup Competition bar, with their aim to create a £100 million company, based in London. Last year’s competition also aptly named Million Pound Startup was previously featured on Startacus at the time of its launch (and coincidentally at the time of our launch as a site too!)
Looking to propel one startup into a £100,000,000 company - this is a competition not for the faint hearted or those with average startup ambitions, however if you can justify a £1,000,000 investment to show a potential £100 million return, then this might be the competition for you and your startup.
There are plenty of terms and conditions for you to consider, but a couple of key facts are:
- Turnover less than £1M per year and trading for less than 10 years.
- Prepared to move your business headquarters to London. They will help with this.
- Contest is open now and will close on 29th August 2013
- If successful you’ll enter the assessment round from September to November 2013.
- The final is in London in December 2013.
Oh, and while we are on the case - when and if you enter this big beast of a competition - please do mention it was your good friends over at Startacus who told you all about the competition. A bit of good PR, credit and reward is always rather handy and we would be grateful if you would put us down in the ““where did your hear about…?” box. Ta very much!
Good luck to all who apply and let’s hope the next big startup not only lands but delivers on the big stage because of this fab opportunity.
