LegitFit announces acquisition of GoFyt, the fitness marketplace startup

by Startacus Admin
LegitFit acquires Belfast-based GoFyt, to support its strategy of moving further into the UK market and its long-term mission of “Connecting the Fitness Industry”.
Fab news for GoFyt, the fitness marketplace startup with the announcement of its acquisition by LegitFit, a market leader in the Irish fitness software space.
“We have a major vision for the company here at LegitFit, and moreover, for the industry as a whole”, says Ryan O’ Neill, Co-founder and CEO of LegitFit. “With this acquisition, we believe that we’re going to be able to support thousands of more fitness entrepreneurs across the world to start-up and scale-up successful businesses with our simple, all-in-one management software”.
GoFyt founder Andrew McCracken added: “At GoFyt we are developing and building a one stop shop health and fitness marketplace, and we are strong in marketing and design. The team at LegitFit had refined focus and all the other complimentary skills combined with impressive momentum despite operating throughout a pandemic. Both GoFyt and LegitFit complement each other in outlook, vision and energy. It made sense to join them and help them further their efforts. Ryan and the team have both incredible vision and drive, we are excited to help them go from strength to strength!”
Current GoFyt customers will gain access to more features and tools so they can focus even more on their clients and LegitFit’s customers will also benefit in time with innovative and pioneering functionality to be launched on the platform over the coming 12 months.
2021 has been a hugely significant year for LegitFit - not only because of this acquisition. The company was one of the participants in the Ignite NI accelerator earlier in the year and will be presenting at Techstars demo day in the US next month.
The acquisition of GoFyt supports LegitFit’s strategy of moving further into the UK market and its long-term mission of “Connecting the Fitness Industry”.
This is most certainly one to watch!
