LDN2MAN

by Startacus Admin
Last September, Techbikers, a collaboration of the London tech startup community, including startups, and business executives cycled 200 miles from Paris to London to raise money to help support children's charity Room to Read.
Hoping to follow in their footsteps (tracks), and inspired by the Techbiker’s initiative, LDN2MAN a collaboration between Cyclr, TechHub Manchester and the Manchester startup scene, are getting back on the saddle to again raise money for Room to Read.
Whilst gearing (sorry) up for the event that will take place from the 14th -16th June, the collaboration is planning to promote both the charity, a healthy cycling lifestyle and the burgeoning Manchester startup tech scene that is growing at a fast pace.
Gerry Newton, well known blog Founder for Bicycle Basecamp and more recently Cyclr, is taking part and highlights the benefits of the event for both the startup scene and the wider community;
“The Manchester tech scene is a hive of activity and energy, and I truly believe with their collective support LDN2MAN can be a huge success – who knows, the Mancunian tech scene may even surpass the success of TechBikers 2012. Either way, I’m thrilled to part of the ride! The success of this ride hinges on passionate participants and generous sponsors who can spare a few pennies in their budget to support a great cause. Who doesn’t want to see geeks on bikes, battling the elements to raise money for a great cause!" - Gerry Newton, Founder of Cyclr”
Here at Startacus we're looking forward to hearing more about this well intentioned collaboration. If you'd like to get involved yourself why not take a ride over to the LDN2MAN website to find out more...
