Lazy Flora
If you are not an avid all-year-round gardener, but fancy a wee dabble at a bit of carefree gardening, we think you might be in luck. Plant that thought and read on, as we want to tell you about early stage startup Lazy Flora, the delivery service for ready-made gardens in a box - think 'Hello Fresh' for gardening perhaps...

Claire RansomFounded by Claire Ransom, the concept of Lazy Flora came about as a result of her frustration with living in an urban area, and wanting to be surrounded by beauty, nature, your own garden and...flowers. Of course, space and location aside, many other aspirational garden lovers are put off by having a limited time to look after a garden or even just not knowing where to start.

Of course, Founder Claire recognised all of the above, and her solution, to make beauty and nature more accessible, became Lazy Flora, a delivery service for ready-made gardens in a box. (The seed at least was planted at that point anyway).

So how does it work?

  • You consider your plant container (you can order one, or use the one you already have ready at home). Lazy Flora
  • You choose your plant collection from the Lazy Flora shop to be delivered.
  • Your plant delivery arives.
  • You plant it up and do the dirty bit.
Each delivery comes with step-by-step instructions on how to plant up your Lazy Flora container garden, complete with plant designs from a professional landscape gardener. With a commitment to deliver everything you need to have beautiful plants all year round, they aim to literally deliver everything: soil, plants, gloves, instructions, fertilizer, and so on, to make the process as easy as possible.

It's still early days, and it's not quite Hello Fresh yet, but the concept is pretty similar, and seems to have been growing in popularity over the last few months since launch at least.

But either way, we are digging the look of the branding, packaging and what looks like real attention and care to detail, and we think this new startup, whilst still kinda working off an MVP, is a bloomin' good idea if nothing else. Lazy Flora - we've loving your work.
