Launchpad post grad incubation and acceleration programme looks to next cohort

by Startacus Admin

Launchpad, the innovative, post-graduate incubation and acceleration programme developed by Falmouth University in Cornwall, that creates new digital businesses to meet identified market demand, are on the hunt for their next cohort.
Bringing together a mix of software engineers, digital creatives and business people to solve industry challenges set by strategic partners, Falmouth University, Launchpad aims to create new digital businesses in just 12 months, with specific learning about markets, customers, investors and how a business works.
Founders are targeted at creating new high-growth, high value tech businesses, supported by experienced coaches and mentors to help create an in-demand, cutting edge solution that investors want to buy into. All underpinned by a specially designed one year MA Entrepreneurship programme and a tax-free sum of £16k during the first year.
Recent alumni include startup Codices, who are developing tools for online broadcasters to make, manage and monetise live interactive game-show and currently in alpha testing with their product Quiz Kit, Glas Data, a team innovating in the agri-tech sector to help farmers drive greater productivity through data and their product FarmHand, and Moonshine Studios, a new games studio.
And in terms of long-term programme legacy, Hertzian, who were born out of the Launchpad pilot in 2014 and have been at the forefront of AI application development ever since, were this year highlighted in a UK Government funding announcement, as one of five companies trailblazing AI in the UK.
Launchpad wants to work with people who have the drive and ambition to develop a successful high growth business and with only 80 places available, competition to join Launchpad and create an innovative tech startup is high.
The next cohort will start on the 28th January 2019, with applications considered until the programme is full, on a first-come, first-serve basis, provided that applicants meet the standard they expect, and there is still space for your skill set on the programme.
Applicants need to be EU citizens, or have the right to reside and work in the UK and hold a 2.1 degree or higher in a relevant skill-set such as business development, software development or the digital creative arts, while equivalent industry experience is also welcomed.
So, if you are a determined, ambitious, optimistic and driven futurist and think you’ve got what it takes to grow a successful business, whilst also completing a one year MA Entrepreneurship programme - check out all the details here and apply asap!
