Kinteract - the lowdown on the innovative EdTech startup

by Startacus Admin
Innovation in EdTech benefiting students, teachers and parents alike, thanks to Kinteract, the startup that facilitates fast feedback and collaboration.

London-based EdTech startup Kinteract is one of those startups. Their platform is designed to aid students, teachers, parents, and education institutions themselves. Students are able to see their ‘learning journey’ and upload their homework to receive faster feedback from teachers and stop that pesky dog from eating it.
They can set personal targets, tracking and assessing their own progress, making them feel more involved with their own education. Kinteract isn’t just for children; it can be used throughout a students entire education, even as a kind of portfolio to show off achievements and skills, or simply to look back on how far they have come.
For teachers, it can be difficult to keep track of individual students and ensure that they aren’t getting left behind. Kinteract visualises that so the teacher can keep on top of what each student needs and identify a dynamic learning plan. Assess and give comments on homework quicker and more directly, with a better opportunity to leave more detailed, meaningful feedback on the students’ timelines and create a healthy dialogue.
Parents can not only see what their child is working on at any given moment, but it allows them to be a little more involved, with progress assessments and real-time communication. If they or the teacher identifies specific student needs, they can discuss it with each other securely through the platform.
Institutions themselves can use Kinteract to keep track of progress at varying levels, from individual students to the entire school district. These deep insights help to keep everything on track and intervene where needed.
Recently, Kinteract raised £1.25m in funding from Blackfinch Group and Pembroke VCT. The platform is being used internationally by over 80 schools, and this backing will be used to increase their foothold and officially launch in the UK.
Children are, we hear, our future and so any platform that supports them and helps them to learn without increasing stress and pressure is a welcome addition to the expanding EdTech market.
A not quite but kind of related read is iDyslexic, a social platform for supporting children with dyslexia and ADHD.
