by Startacus Admin
Talent take note. At Jobbio HIGHER, you'll be able to network & connect with some of the UK’s best tech companies & high-growth startups...
Forget cardboard stands or paper leaflets, and get ready to immerse yourself in the epicentre of London’s tech scene at Jobbio HIGHER on September 28th 2017 - taking place at the Truman Brewery, a leading East London destination for the public and creative businesses alike. From interactive workshops to participatory panels, you perhaps won’t get a better opportunity to network and connect with the real people behind real digital innovation. Nice. And, it's free for talent / jobseekers to attend. You can bag your free ticket here.Jobbio is a leading online and mobile careers platform, where companies can manage the application process from start to hire more effectively and where Talent can discover the best career opportunities. Jobbio allows Talent and Companies connect with each other directly and privately so when the right opportunities arise, the right people know about it.

The exhibition area at the Jobbio HIGHER event will gather 60 of the UK’s best tech companies and high-growth startups, from Transferwise, Expedia, Unilad and Shazam through to Monzo, Tech City, Seedrs and We Work. Companies and Talent will be able to network and connect directly with each other to find the best fit for them, with the Jobbio app will help facilitate on-the-spot connections and even job applications throughout the night.

The main stage will host industry insiders from the tech and startup community. Harsh Sinha (VP Engineering, TransferWise), Edward Cooper (Chief of Mobile, Revolut), Alice Newton Rex (VP of Product, WorldRemit), and Amy Lyons (Head of Content EMEA, FitBit) some noted speakers.
The panels and keynotes will provide attendees with a great opportunity to get some valuable insights across marketing, product and tech from some of the best in the business.
At the second stage, technical and career development workshops will take place to help attendees sharpen their technical skills and navigate their careers. Which leads nicely onto a little bit of...
Pre-event Network coaching!
If you fancy a little bit of pre-event coaching on effective networking you are also in luck. A Jobbio #HIGHER17 live Twitter Chat, their pre-event digital networking party, has been organised for the 5pm, 20th of September - on Twitter of course. For those of you that don't know what a Twitter Chat is, our explainer on hosting a twitter chat will help.
Jobbio (in this case, @Jobbio) will be sending out a number of question "tweets", giving you, and everyone on Twitter at the time, the chance to answer and chat around. With the twitter chat topic being around ‘Effective Networking’ we think this is a good opportunity for both anyone looking to attend Jobbio HIGHER and anyone who's looking to hone their networking skills.
We look forward to getting involved in this too (via @iamstartacus) and make sure to follow and get involved.
