Italian Artisan - it's Made in Italy, made easy

by Startacus Admin
Fashion innovation thanks to Italian Artisan and its B2B one-stop marketplace that connects international brands with hard-to-get authentic artisans.
When people think Italy, they tend to think of the best of all things. The best weather, the best ice cream, the best food, the best coffee, the best sports cars, the best fashion houses. The craftsmanship that comes out of Italy has made ‘Made in Italy’ pretty much synonymous with high quality and luxury. Of course, high quality comes with a high price tag and high demand for the craftspeople. So what if you’re not Italian, not Armani, but you want Italian quality?
Italian fashtech startup Italian Artisan would like to give brands the opportunity to work with these Italian craftspeople to create their own line of ‘Made in Italy’ luxury fashion. You don’t have to be Prada to offer this level of quality. Businesses with their own designs can connect with these artisans to get them made, or they can choose from the platform’s catalogue of artisans and their own products. This latter option also means that Italian Artisan can offer a range of products to wholesalers, who can then offer their own Italian collections. These include clothes, shoes, bags, and accessories - guaranteed 100% Made in Italy - from the platform’s 700+ artisans.
All of these artisans are vetted before they can join the platform, ensuring that they all adhere to the platform’s emphasis on ethical production, heritage, and innovation. They also make sure that they remain accessible and affordable to smaller retailers and startups by keeping minimum orders low. To this end, there is no fee to access the platform, and when it comes to navigating the production cycle, Italian Artisan can assign local technical experts right there in Italy to help with everything, including translation.
With the negative impacts of the fashion industry - and fast fashion in particular - becoming more recognised by the general public, a platform like this that allows access to high-quality, long-lasting luxury fashion from Italy is a valuable thing. Who wants a Startacus-brand three-piece suit?
