Island Startup Retreat Will Help You Make Waves in 2015

by Startacus Admin
It’s the start of 2015 and for those of you prone to a good ol’ startup New Year’s Resolution; we think we have a fab post-Christmas cracker of a startup news story for you.
This could really set the wheels in motion for a very successful 2015.
First things first though - this article is for you if…
- You enjoy the sunshine and the odd holiday or working holiday abroad
- You’re in the midst of setting up your business startup, or having had a successful 2014 as a startup, you need a little more focus and strategic support to move on to the next level
- You enjoy hard work, chat, learning, BBQs and even a late night swim
Yep, we’ve still got you reading haven’t we?
When we heard about the Oxygen Startup Retreat - an intensive week of pre-accelerator development and support for your startup, based on the beautiful and sunny Island of Tenerife, we thought it best to share the news. After all one of our own New Year’s Resolutions for this year is to offer you all even more relevant and fab news than ever before!
Based in the Casas Bioclimáticas ecovillages and the futuristic FIT Canarias venue in Tenerife, Oxygen Startups (the same folk behind Oxygen Accelerator) are presenting a pre-accelerator programme. It helps Startup Founders or Co-Founders focus on how they can take their startup from an idea into a fully functional business by using a proven concoction of successful mentors, tools and board-level advice to help make your business a success.
It's all a bit hush-hush at the moment but Oxygen have some amazing startup mentors to be announced soon, who you'll be working and living alongside for the week; giving you an opportunity you'd rarely get otherwise. More news on this to follow later!
Henry Jinman from Crowdfund Campus went on the last retreat in 2014 and told us "I wanted to come to the Pre-Accelerator retreat because it was an excuse to get away but still remain focussed on my startup and what I want to achieve. It's been great because you get to meet a family of people who help and support and can provide connections - mentors, the Oxygen Team, investors - and you have access to that long after the retreat week itself."
Of course, as well as all the hard work and learning, the guys at Oxygen promise there’ll be some hidden surprises on the way to make the most of this unique location.
Priced at £499 for early-bird registration (£599 standard) and including your accommodation for the week, all meals, and a few beers we reckon that this Startup retreat happening 23rd - 27th Feb is worth more than just a look.
From our own experience of not living in the capital (London - for our international readers) but having to travel and work in the big smoke for a few days at a time, £499 is not bad value for money, and if the guys at Oxygen can get your startup business and accelerator ready - it might be the cheapest New Year’s Resolution you haven’t ended up making to date.
A big high-five to the guys at Oxygen for this fab idea and before you fully dip your toes into the Tenerife water - head on over to the Oxygen Startup Retreat page for all the finer details.
