Is your startup a rising star?

by Startacus Admin

Time is ticking to apply to Rising Stars, Tech Nation's new competition to find the UK’s most ambitious early-stage tech startups.
Building on the success of Northern Stars (launched when we were Tech City and Tech North), Tech Nation are on the hunt for the best tech companies from all areas of the country - from Lands End to John O’Groats and everywhere in between.
Previously known individually as Tech City UK and Tech North, Tech Nation was born earlier this year and aims to empower ambitious UK based tech entrepreneurs to grow faster through knowledge and connections.
Rising Stars, Tech Nation's new competition are looking for companies who meet the following criteria:
- Business incorporated for 1-3 years (or trading for less than 4 years)
- HQ’d in the UK
- A digital tech business with a product or service to sell
- At seed to pre-Series A funding stage.
- Have at least one active client or pilot
- Have the ambition to grow and scale
- Rising Stars is sector agnostic. We are also particularly keen to encourage applications from female founders.
Entries will be judged by a panel of investors, heads of co-working spaces and accelerators, entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, academics and community influencers from all across the UK and startups will be measured on their value proposition, competitive advantage, current traction and scalability.
Winners prizes include pitch training, one-to-one mentoring, a PR campaign, contribution to attending a conference of their choice and curated opportunities to raise their profile including introductions to corporates and investors.
Applications are open until midnight on Sunday 4th November and for all the information about Rising Stars - the timeline, overall process and the link to application form, visit the Tech Nation Rising Stars page!
Good luck to all whom apply!
