RElab 2021 opens for applications from tech startups and scaleups with innovative solutions on the core themes of sustainability and construction technology
Tech businesses with solutions to help shape our future smart built environment, take note!
London-based VC firm Goldacre Ventures have just announced that RElab, their annual industry-focused scale-up programme is once again open for applications. The programme is run in partnership with corporate innovation specialists L Marks and leading investment and asset management group, the Noé Group.
This is the third consecutive RElab programme and will build on the success achieved over the two previous cohorts.
The themes for this year’s programme are sustainability and construction technology - with industrialised construction, digitalisation, supply chain and a “wildcard” meaning that innovation in various aspects of the built environment will all be considered.
They are seeking exceptional tech startups and scaleups commercialising solutions that transform smart cities and smart buildings to be more sustainable and productive across all asset classes and phases of the asset lifecycle. The core aim of RElab 2021 is to help validate each company’s product-market-fit and accelerate growth.
8-12 companies will be selected to take part in the 14-week programme and will get the opportunity to engage with RElab’s ecosystem of leading corporate partners and mentors to explore commercial pilots and to gain rapid customer feedback. The industry partners supporting this year’s programme include Capreon; JCA Engineering; Kier; Knight Frank; Landsec; Lockton; LogiFruit; Mace; and RSBG.
In addition to facilitating market access, the programme includes curated networking events, expertise seminars and industry roundtables, as well as tailored 1-to-1 mentorship sessions with leading experts on topics such as sales & marketing, pricing strategy and technology roadmap. The programme offers up to £100,000 in funding as well as the opportunity to meet RElab’s ecosystem of tier-1 investors
Due to the ongoing uncertainties caused by the pandemic, the plan is for the programme to be delivered in a hybrid format. Panels, roundtables and mentoring will be delivered virtually and where possible, there will be a combination of virtual and in-person networking events.
Interested in applying? You can do so until midnight on 18 August 2021. All applications will then be reviewed and successful applicants will be invited to a Pitch Day in Mid-October where they’ll have the chance to pitch to Goldacre and their partners for a place on the programme.
The programme itself will then kick off in mid-November when the intensive collaboration will begin! A Demo Day is scheduled for March 2022 where the participants will get the opportunity to showcase their businesses to a host of potential customers and investors.
For further details on the programme including insights into previous cohorts and alumni, check out the RElab site. Best of luck to all who apply!
