Impacting Founders, a female founder programme in NI

by Startacus Admin

Impacting Founders is a new 10-week startup programme for NI-based female founders, facilitated by Startacus, in partnership with Young Enterprise NI and funded by Ulster Bank.
We are delighted to share the news that Ulster Bank is partnering with Young Enterprise NI and Startacus to fund a project aimed at driving more women toward a career in entrepreneurship.
Facilitated by team Startacus and in partnership with Young Enterprise NI, the new Impacting Founders programme will have a focus on the Derry City and North West region, but will be open to female founders across NI.
Aimed at providing key startup knowledge via local & international speakers building relevant business connections both in NI & internationally and helping to provide a legacy for future female founders in NI, Alastair Cameron, co-founder of Startacus said:

Building on the strength of the Young Enterprise NI alumni and mentors and the network that Startacus brings from within NI, Ireland, the UK and Internationally, this is a collaboration where the best minds will support NI female founders on their journey.
Carol Fitzsimons MBE, CEO of Young Enterprise said, "Young Enterprise is well known for inspiring many young people to become passionate about business start up. Through this partnership with Startacus, we aim to bring the strength of our alumni and mentor network to support local founders setting up their business. "
The part virtual and part face to face (when appropriate) programme is for NI female founders, from those at the idea and pre-start stage, through to those who have already gained specific startup support. And whilst encouraging applications from the Derry City and NW area, female founders from across NI will be able to participate in the programme.
