Ignite100 Accelerator info

by Startacus Admin
With a closing date of the 30th June and an application to submit you’d better get your skates on if you are a web based startup interested in applying for this year’s Ignite100 accelerator program...
Based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK, Ignite100 is a “mentor-led” accelerator which is due to take place this September.
This year, successful startup applicants will also spend two weeks in New York (alongside 12 weeks in Newcastle) and will gain a “unique opportunity to turbocharge their startup by working with accomplished mentors and experts in a dedicated business environment” (their words not ours!)
In terms of cash on offer - Ignite100 initially provides the 10 chosen teams with funding of £5,000 per founder (up to a maximum of £15,000). Subject to the teams achieving pre-agreed milestones, the balance of the £100,000 will be released in the form of a convertible loan note - check the Ignite site for all the details.
Ignite100 favours web based startups with low overheads - irrespective of whether they are an early startup or a more established player. If that’s you - this might be a rather favourable accelerator to consider.
Apart from spending two intensive weeks in New York networking and linking up with US investors, the Ignite100 startups will be based in Newcastle and provided with 50 specific mentors, technical support, space and the opportunity for long term support and mentoring.
So if you are a tech and web based startup and this tickles your fancy - then at least check out all the officially worded lingo, t&c’s and FAQ via the Ignite100 site.
