iDyslexic supports those with Dyslexia and ADHD using tech

iDyslexic - The specialist social community media platform and app to support those with Dyslexia and ADHD.

An estimated 1 in 10 people have dyslexia, which often runs in the family, and it can make learning particularly difficult for them. But the barriers thrown up by dyslexia can be overcome.
Kilkenny-based tech investor - and former lead guitarist for My Little Funhouse - Brendan Morrissey has launched a new ‘global community’, iDyslexic, for children with dyslexia and ADHD to help overcome those very barriers.
iDyslexic is an app for smart devices and offers users a social media aspect, where they can meet new friends, create and watch/read blogs and vlogs, discuss, gain advice from mentors, and more.
Arguably more important is the educational support aspect to the app, however, which supports children across the globe. It connects students, parents, teachers, caseworkers, even doctors, through Secure Classroom Portals. These portals can be used to communicate securely and easily, create homework and meeting schedules, uploads IEP reports, and more, allowing all relevant parties to keep up to date and ensure each child is receiving the help they need.
The app already has users from all over the world, and Morrissey has agreements to bring in 19,000 schools from across the UK and Australia onto the platform. He has invested half a million Euros into iDyslexic and we’re sure that more investment will follow for such an important platform.
