Grocemania delivers groceries from local store to door

The London based startup Grocemania, that's created an on-demand grocery service that lets you shop online from your local stores...

So wouldn’t it be nice - and this eclectic collection of sentences is going somewhere - if you could support local food producers by shopping local, but while still sitting in the house with curtains closed?
London-based startup Grocemania is most of the way there. Grocemania is an on-demand grocery delivery service that allows you to shop online from your local shops and have it delivered in as little as one hour for only £2.50 on orders over £10 (it’s free on orders over £30).
Although the participating retailers are currently bigger names such as Nisa, Costcutter, Budgens, and Londis, it is easy to see the potential for growth into more independent shops in the future. And these shops do stock local produce and employ local staff, so you’re still going a decent way to supporting local people. And retailers do not pay any fees to join in or any commission on orders, so they aren’t losing out that way.
For the second time, Grocemania has launched a Seedrs campaign to raise £80,000 to be used on continued expansion and service development. They are striving to cover all the existing postcode areas in Central London and complete their expansion into Nottingham and Bournemouth - having now completed their move into Brighton - to enable a greater number of customers to take full advantage of getting groceries delivered on-demand from their local retailers.
For shoppers, Gracemania is a great way to take advantage of the rise of third party delivery services in an area so far untouched by it, allowing you to support smaller, local shops without losing the convenience of online shopping. We look forward to seeing where the future takes it.
