Free ‘Grow Your Business’ Programme launches for East London

by Startacus Admin

A free Allia Serious Impact Grow Your Business Programme; exclusively for local businesses in East London is currently open for applications.
Would you like to grow your business but don’t know where to start? Or are you struggling to find the time to run your business as well as plan for its future? Would you like to find experts to help you – but don’t have the budget to pay for consultants or advisors?
If any of this sounds like you, the free Allia Serious Impact Grow Your Business Programme; exclusively for local businesses in East London and launching now in Hackney, could be for you.
This FREE 3 month programme will aim to help you to get more customers and grow your business in a variety of ways. Along with other local businesses, you’ll have mentors to guide you through the programme of workshops and classes. These mentors are also at your disposal for private 1-2-1 advice & follow-on sessions – still 100% free of charge!
You could be running a café or bar, a bakery or corner shop, or a local garage, roofing company or manufacturing business! You could be employing 2 people or 50 people – it doesn’t matter; all they are looking to know is that you’re thinking about the next steps for your business.
Allia opened its Future Business Centre East London in Hackney in 2017. They are dedicated to helping entrepreneurs to start and grow businesses that create jobs in East London for East Londoners. With a HQ in Cambridge, they have been helping impact businesses around the UK since 1999. Apart from the Grow Your Business Programme - they also have a fab looking incubator programme that runs for 9 months and is free for the businesses selected. (It's currently closed for applications, but will be back open in 2018.)
What are the workshops about?
They offer a whole host of workshops designed to cover a huge spread of topics! In fact, anything and everything you need to run and grow a successful small business – until it’s not so small! This includes help with:
- Making sure your service delights your customers! (Product Stuff!)
- Hiring and looking after great employees (Team Stuff!)
- Deciding what paths to take in the future (Strategy Stuff!)
- Growing a real local presence (Community Stuff!)
- Organising yourself to do business better (Operational Stuff!)
- Getting the word out – and the customers in! (Marketing Stuff!)
- Understanding the money involved in your business & what opportunities might be available to you (Finance Stuff!)
When does it start & end?
The programme starts in November and runs through to February – pausing for most of December because they know this can be a particularly busy time for many business owners.
Because they aso know you’re busy, the programme is hopefully built to fit around your working day – with workshops on Tuesday and Thursday nights for 1-2 hours and individual sessions with mentors arranged to fit around you.
The next Grow your Business programme starts in Hackney in November. Find out how to apply and all the key details here.
