Canva- This is a really easy to use graphic design platform that gives you the power to create professional looking images, logos, and other visual content in minutes. You can choose free images from their library for commercial use or you can pay a small premium for copyrighted images. They also have templates for visual content intended for social media as well as tutorials, tips, and tricks.
Skitch from Evernote- This is a very simple little tool that lets you make basic annotations on images in order to convey meaning and messages in a clearer way. Use words, arrows, and quick sketches to add an element of visual storytelling to your design work, and create content with powerful impact.
Imgflip- This is one that enjoy using very much at Startacus HQ. Upload an image and add different styles and colours of text to create humorous and attention grabbings memes for social media and other content. There are loads of these tools available online, this just happens to be the one that we use, and we have never had any problems with it, so it gets a big thumbs up.
Recite- Continuing along a similar vein to Imgflip, Recite offers a very easy way to put inspirational, clever, or humorous quotes onto visually striking backgrounds. This is a great tool if you only have a few moments to create a nice looking quote for use in social media or a blog. If you have a bit more time on your hands then Behappy quote generator gives you the option to be a bit more creative and personalise your quotes to really make them stand out.
Freebbble- If you’re feeling a bit more ambitious, then Freebbble is a resource you might enjoy. It is a decent collection of free graphics to be used for a whole manner online purposes including in the design of a website.
