With Ted talks and the like, it’s pretty easy these days to listen to inspirational speakers even if you haven’t heard them in person. A good speaker can of course have a pretty amazing impact and can give you all the motivation you need to start something or even simply to keep on going. And that’s exactly the reason why we reckon that the new initiative Founders4Schools is just so good.In essence Founders4Schools is a new way for teachers to arrange for founders of successful businesses to visit their schools and inspire their students.
The innovative platform allows teachers to search for and arrange visits from successful founders to speak to their students about matters such as what they studied at school, what in particular motivated them to set up in business and why they would recommend entrepreneurship as a career choice.
If it’s utilized properly, this entirely free service could potentially be responsible for creating a whole new generation of entrepreneurs and that is music to our ears here at Startacus. In fact, they’ve got pretty ambitious targets - the aim over the next 18 months is to ignite the startup spirit in almost half a million children aged between 11 - 18.
Ambitious? Yes.
Achievable? Most probably.
