Force for Good joins the Sport Tech Hub accelerator programme by London Sport to help with its mission to help people turn physical activity into giving back and driving change
Fantastic news from Force for Good, the world’s first social impact network with the announcement that it has joined the Sport Tech Hub accelerator programme by London Sport and will support it with its mission of making London the most active city in the world, in addition to raising much needed funds for charity.
Force For Good has already enrolled hundreds of charity partners pre-launch and aims to fundamentally change how people give to charity, by providing something on its platform for everyone to take part in - whether that’s running for COVID-19 or cycling for Mental Health.
Lucy Bennett-Baggs, Founder and CEO of Force for Good, explains: “Challenges and particularly sporting challenges are central to successful fundraising, so London Sport is the perfect partner for Force for Good. I’m personally passionate about the power sport has to drive change and make a positive impact in the world, and this partnership will help us support many more people turn their physical activity into giving back and driving change.”
Sport Tech Hub will help launch and grow Force for Good in London and wider afield and the programme will provide Force for Good with a greater knowledge and understanding of the physical activity and sport sector in London, as well as helping it to build a UK team of experts in the London physical activity sector.
During the programme, with support from London Sport, Force for Good and Sport Tech Hub will also aim to grow the usage of the product via partnerships with charities, not for profits, foundations and community groups.
Alex Zurita – Head of Sport Tech Hub adds: “We are delighted to be supporting and backing Force For Good at such an early and critical stage. We believe Force For Good will be part of the solution which enables charities, and in particular with our focus, those using physical activity and sport as a tool for development and societal change, to recover and restart their campaigns and intervention.
We are also in a time where COVID-19 halted the great progress being made by the sector in supporting more people to start their physical activity journey or continue, as well as a society more attuned to the need to tackle and support societal change, for this, we believe that Force For Good will enable people to connect with extraordinary causes and campaigns which will inspire them to walk, cycle, swim and become more physically active.”
Not only are Force for Good taking part in the Sport Tech Hub Innovation programme, but they will also be working with the London Sport Consultancy Hub, supported by Propel Teams where they will be looking at business development, audience building, value proposition, promotion, and brand awareness.
Exciting times ahead - we look forward to seeing the impact that this will all have on Force for Good!
