Football focused price comparison site FOOTY.COM set for ecommerce premier league

by Startacus Admin
FOOTY.COM, the startup that's on a mission to help you find the cheapest prices on thousands of sports products and football merchandise.
Love playing football and long to find the latest football merchandise? Never kicked a ball in your life? Want to look like you’re about to head out to be active and sporty when you wander down to the shops for crisps and energy drinks you can guzzle in front of the TV while you shout at the players for kicking the ball wrong? Well, you’d better get your wallet out because sportswear is expensive.
Durham and Manchester based ecommerce startup FOOTY.COM knows this and wants to make it easier on your pocket with its sports-focused price comparison site.
FOOTY.COM searches globally for the best prices on trainers, football boots, full football kits, football merchandise and equipment, and other sportswear. It is completely impartial and compares prices from the likes of Amazon, Sports Direct, JD Sports, and over 100 more, as well direct from brands such as Nike and adidas.
The site has just about everything you could want, no matter what angle you are coming from.
If you want to support your team by showing up to a game in full colours, you can search by league and team to put together the full kit. If you want a good pair of running shoes, gym shoes, or ‘I have better shoes than you’ shoes, the site has plenty of sportswear that isn’t football specific. If you’re about to go back to school and need new shin pads, studs, goalkeeper gloves, backpacks, or balls, look no further (because that’s literally what Footy is doing for you).
Just recently, FOOTY.COM announced that it has secured £1.625m in funding from Northstar Ventures, which it will use for further employment, increasing brand awareness, and making its site bigger and better.
With this investment we'd expect FOOTY.COM to now head into the premier league of sports merchandise ecommerce platforms, and not just in the UK.
