Flair Impact Closes $1.8 Million Seed Round

Flair Impact secures major investment to support US expansion and drive its mission of creating a world where all ethnicities can thrive.
Here at Startacus we love hearing and reporting good news about startups, and even more so when we’ve been following their journeys. So we’re delighted to share word one one such startup today - Flair Impact, the black-owned, people analytics company that helps organizations measure and overcome racial bias.
Those of you who attended our LevelUP event which took place as part of Derry & Strabane District Council’s Enterprise Week earlier this year may also already be familiar with Flair Impact since its co-founder, Darrell Coker was one of the panelists at our Diversity & Inclusion session.
Now, in a fab start to December, the company has just announced that it has secured $1.8m seed funding in a round led by Hoxton Ventures, with participation from Samos VC.
Flair now aims to use this funding to expand into the US market and diversify its product range to further drive its mission of creating a world where all ethnicities can thrive.
Nii Cleland, co-founder and CEO, Flair Impact explains: “One of the key challenges faced by organizations is that they do not have the right methods to accurately understand where racial biases lay in their organizations or the right approaches to tackle these biases. Our data-driven solution fulfills this need and tangibly demonstrates how anti-racism initiatives impact an organization’s engagement, wellbeing, and retention.”
Since re-launching in September 2020, Flair has grown considerably, counting The Premier League, Network Rail, and a number of NHS Trusts across the UK amongst its client base and achieving on average over 50% MoM revenue growth.
Having achieved so much in such a relatively short time, we can’t wait to see what the next stage in the Flair journey will be. We’ll no doubt be reporting more good news on the impact of this latest investment soon!
