Micro art investments in shares, for as little as a fiver, is now a real possibility thanks to Feral Horses, aFeral Horses Art platform marketplace startup that acts as an art stock exchange to buy and trade shares of contemporary artworks directly from artists and art galleries.

London-based startup, Feral Horses is a operating in the art business that gives the possibility to anyone to invest in contemporary artworks.

Feral Horses Art platform Acting as facilitators for both buyers and sellers; Feral Horses provides the right tools for galleries and artists to make art investment accessible, understandable, easy and affordable for the general public.

Through its online trading platform that allows customers to co-own artworks, by buying and trading shares, the company is bridging the gap between art enthusiasts and the traditional stakeholders with a unique proposition: micro art investments.

For as ittle as a fiver, art lovers will get the opportunity to endorse an artist, their works, and ultimately their creative journey, whilst building a micro investment portfolio all at the same time! Once sold on the marketplace, Feral Horses cares for the physical artworks and rent them out in public and semi-public spaces in London in order to increase their visibility and generate dividends for the co-owners.

Created by a young Italo-French team who are based in London, Feral Horses conducted extensive market research for three years, and when they finally launched their Art Stock Exchange in Spring 2017 they sold 17 artworks (total value: £121,000) Feral Horses Art platform in less than two months with an unprecedented minimum investment ticket of £3 - picture that!

The art market reportedly reached $68bn in size in 2016, with a steady growth since 2010. However, the art investment market remains greatly inefficient as it only capitalises on major collectors and investment funds, omitting the majority of art enthusiasts and potential investors.

With Feral Horses targeting the millennial demographic, who tend to reject traditional investment options and increasingly looking into new micro investment options, we can see their 'art stock exchange' platform growing in popularity. And it seems the investor folk on Seedrs agree - with Feral Horses currently crowdfunding on Seedrs, they had (at time of publication) raised nearly 90% of their £100k target, in only two days of the campaign being live. One could say they are galloping to their target.
