FarmEye - from soil to shelf

FarmEye - The AgriTech startup that has agricultural traceability and sustainability at its very core...

More than ever, agricultural traceability and sustainability information are important to customers. And if it’s important to customers, it’s important to supermarkets. But farming is not an industry with an overabundance of time, and the more that needs to be done, the more important it becomes to have agritech startups on your side making those things simpler.
Startups like Galway-based FarmEye. FarmEye is the first link in the digital chain of custody from soil to supermarket. It is the first of its kind in blockchain food traceability, and allows the food producer to measure, monitor, and demonstrate the sustainability metrics of their suppliers’ farms. The startup has solutions on 3 fronts: the food producers, agricultural and environmental consultants, and environmental labs.
Bespoke, web-based systems measure and monitor sustainability for farmers and can simplify management efficiency. Consultants can digitally authenticate the sustainability of clients’ soil management and use a visual, map-based system to ensure their compliance with environmental legislation and save them money.
Labs are able to use GPS and cloud-based tech to geo-locate the source of samples like soil or water, and their full process is digitised from receiving samples to payment to returning results.
The FarmEye NMP portal only launched in December, and their Soilmate app is still in alpha, but available to download on Android. As we always say, we are behind anything that makes famers’ lives easier, more productive and, hopefully, more lucrative, and FarmEye is certainly that.
