Farm-r - The Farmer to Farmer Rental Service

by Startacus Admin
Farming is not an easy life, nor often a lucrative one. Machinery and equipment can be hugely expensive, and return on investment comes very slowly. Worse is when a farmer only needs a particular piece of equipment temporarily. There are, of course, already places to rent the equipment, but what if a farmer could support another farmer while getting the use of the required equipment?
This means that one farm can profit from the piece of machinery they aren’t currently using by renting it to another farm with, perhaps, differing seasonality. This improves efficiency and profit for both farms. This equipment can be listed on its own, with an operator, or as a full contracting service.

Farm-r is free to list on, and they only take their commission when revenue is generated, at 8.3%+VAT. Listings can be per day, per hour, per half acre, or per metre, and the listing farmer can specify any insurance requirements they deem necessary, proof of which will need to be provided by the renter. To maintain health and safety standards, equipment must be cleaned by the owner before renting and by the renter before returning it. The platform is simple and flexible to allow farmers to use it however they need.
The farming industry is vital to modern life, and anything that aids that industry deserves a chance to grow and reap the rewards!
