Face to Face networking - Lets Lunch to launch in the UK...

by Startacus Admin
Like LinkedIn, but face to face, with a mouth full of food, Lets Lunch launched in the States in 2010 - now Startacus hears its coming to the UK - hungry to find out more?
A problem with LinkedIn (at least the free version) is that in terms of business networking, it is not always the people that you know and get linked-in with, that you in an ideal world would really like to network with.
Lets Lunch takes the LinkedIn model (in fact your LinkedIn profile)- and matches you to other relevant business contacts who you would like to meet. Then, much like online dating, it arranges a lunch time for you to meetup and chat (if you accept of course) Sounds simple and that is why in the States, Lets Lunch has been growing in popularity.
As they so professionally say on their website “Our goal is to encourage smart business networking by focusing on in-person interaction to build strong relationships. Increasing your business network can mean the difference between success and obscurity. LetsLunch.com uses the time you have at lunch to have you meet other professionals, using a unique algorithm that finds relevant people you don't know yet.”
Reminding me a little of a Wall Street movie scene, and if like me, you find business chat uncomfortable, this platform may not be for everyone. However Startacus is keen to see how their networking platform adapts to the UK business market and we will keep an eye out. You can sign up for an invite here.
