Europe’s Top 20 Seed Investors According to Newly Launched Landscape Lists

by Startacus Admin
Anonymous VC review site Landscape has launched the first in a new series of lists that highlight the best funds in Europe based entirely on founder reviews.
Anonymous VC review site Landscape - a service born from a community need - has today launched Landscape Lists, a new service to highlight the best VCs based on anonymous founder feedback. The first list highlights the top 20 European seed investors, and is the first of many to be created based on increasing reviews.
Speaking on the new Landscape Lists, Founder Joe Perkins, said, “Since starting Landscape I’ve always said our review site isn’t just about helping founders avoid the bad actors, but also about highlighting the most founder friendly investors out there. Landscape Lists is our next step in helping founders connect with the best investors.”
“The data generated from the reviews submitted to the Landscape review site puts us in a really interesting position to highlight the best investors based purely on what founders report, we’re constantly thinking about how we can put this data to use in a way that better supports founders in their fundraising journey.”
In the future, Landscape will aim to create lists based on specific feedback criteria or demographics. Such as the “Top Funds for Female Founders” and “Europe’s Most Supportive Investors”. As the reviews on Landscape grow and there is sufficient data to create new lists, they will be added to the site and reviewed every three months.
“It’s great to see Landscape continue to raise transparency in the funding ecosystem. Investor lists are an important step forward in helping founders do diligence on investors they’re speaking with. It’s also going to help founders earlier in the process do research on the VCs worth contacting. The fact that it’s all powered by review data gives it credibility that a lot of existing investor lists lack.” commented Tom Lawrence, Founder of MVPR.

Since launching, Landscape has received over 2,000 reviews across more than 400 VC funds, from over 20 countries. Additional services include the soon to launch OpenScout network, a scouting market place for the European venture community, and Anonymous Founders slack community.
Landscape used a range of self-reported rating factors from founders to create the Top 20 European seed investors list. These factors include, but are not limited to, an investor’s approachability, professionalism, and level of supportiveness. As not all investors have the same volume of reviews, Landscape has excluded any investor with less than 10 reviews and opted for a Bayesian approach.
