Entrepreneurial Room 101 - Week 2

Fleur McDonald writes for Club Workspace and nominates the job title “Entrepreneur”
"We're probably going to end up being tossed in Room 101 ourselves after this nomination.
We'd like to nominate "entrepreneurs". Yes, that's right. We want to nominate YOU and all your brethren.
Well, to be precise, we’d actually like to nominate all those self-designated entrepreneurs. Those people who answer the question “What do you do?” with the catchall that catches nothing: “I’m an entrepreneur”.
It's a bit like telling people you're sexy or you're cool. If you're sexy and cool, you shouldn’t need to inform others. People should be calling you that. Being an “entrepreneur” works in exactly the same way. It has to be earned. You can say you own a couple of businesses or that you've founded a few startups but it's only others that can describe you as an entrepreneur. It doesn’t belong on your LinkedIn profile. So, come on, let’s put the job title “Entrepreneur” in Room 101.
Setting up your own isn’t about aspiring to a flash lifestyle and glamorous job description. It’s about working hard, taking risks and always striving for more - whether you’re working in tech, catering or marketing. That’s what Club Workspace members do best: brainstorming, networking and basically just getting on with it.
It is true that final solution doesn’t have to be Room 101. People who are successful are often very good at delegating. Don't call yourself an entrepreneur, get others to do it for you.
