Emily Crisps bags healthy £1m investment

by Startacus Admin

It's been a good week or so for East London startup snack-brand Emily Crisps, spearheaded by founder, CEO and female entrepreneur, Emily Wong, who having successfully raised over £1 million investment in equity crowdfunding, also picked up a prestigious Grocer New Product Award for 2018.
The crowdfunding investment via Seedrs will be used to help to accelerate the growth of Emily Crisps across the UK through increased brand awareness and distribution, in preparation for its US launch next year. With the brand on a mission to spread across the globe its innovative better-for-you snacks aligned with consumer eating trends.
The Emily Crisps fruit and veg crisps brand was founded in 2014 and launched exclusively in Selfridges, by partners Emily Wong and Ale Ascani, as a healthy alternative to traditional potato crisps and fruit snacks.
Made using only the best whole fruit and veg to create a range of better-for-you crisps that are gluten free, vegan, kosher and halal certified, the Emily Crisps brand has now grown and is now available at a range of retailers including Waitrose, Sainsburys, Tesco, Holland & Barret.

The Grocer New Product Awards, awarding the latest FMCG sector innovations that have hit the shelves in the last 14 months, are a benchmark for what is hot in the FMCG sector, so it's no surprise, to top a good week for Emily Crisps, that it's 'Sweet Potato Sticks with Sea Salt' product, bagged the Crisps New Product title at the Grocer awards.
Congrats to Emily, Ale, and the whole Emily Crisps HQ team, on both counts. We predict a healthly future.
