Ejamsi- A men's tie that is also a wallet

by Startacus Admin

We loved his original and quirky idea and were keen to learn more, so we invited him to tell us more with a Startacus self interview…. and here it is!
What was the inspiration for you and your team to build the Ejamsi?
It starts after years in the banking industry wearing a suit daily. I started to get back pain, and feel really uncomfortable having my wallet in my back pocket. So I decided to switch to my front pocket but seemed it wasn’t working either as it showed a bulge in my pants, not cool!
I thought to myself there has to be a better way. So I set off to look online for a solution. Didn’t find any I liked. To many minimalistic wallets to choose from, I was looking for a replacement that didn’t exist.
So it hit me! Why not a Necktie + Wallet, I reached out to my dad, who has been crafty his whole life, to help design one that was comfortable, secure, and fashionable.
We decided to not just stop there. We wanted to add extra security to the wallet so we chose RFID protection, which prevents readers from accidentally picking up the data in RFID-based credit cards and ID cards. It’s time to work and attend social events comfortably, securely, and still remain stylish!
What exactly is the Ejamsi and how does it benefit everyone?
This new product is 'Knot your average Tie ; it perfectly combines attire and accessory, creating convenience and comfort for the modern male. The EJAMSI tie is 100% silk, with the exception of the Genuine Leather with RFID protection stitched into the back of the tie that provides compartments for cash or card. This rids the need of wallets for the modern man wearing ties for business purposes, or simply for the sake of fashion. It helps avoid not only having a bulky pocket but also being pick pocketed or losing your wallet which is perfect for a day at work or even a night out at the cocktail lounge.
Tell us a bit about your crowdfunding campaign? How will the funds be utilized?
Our fundraising goal of $8,000.00 is to pay for tooling, manufacturing, fabrication, logistics, and packaging.
Why is your necktie different the all the others?
The Ejamsi necktie and wallet is...
1 - An innovative menswear - World’s first Sleek & Stylish Necktie + Wallet: Hand stitched genuine leather wallet with RFID protection inside a 100% Silk necktie.
