Drive Startup Accelerator from Belron

The World’s leading vehicle glass repair / replacement service provider Belron has teamed up with our friends over at L Marks Investment and Innovations Consultants to create a global Accelerator that is open to a wide range of Startups.
The aptly named ‘Drive’ is a 12-week programme spanning May to July 2016 that will give highly promising startups the opportunity to fast-track their growth. The programme has been specifically designed for startups with the potential to improve Belron’s operations and approach to delivering top-rate customer service.
What’s on the Table?
Startups that participate in the Drive programme will be given a unique opportunity to validate their business within international markets, as well as dedicated desk space at Belron’s Egham office, expert mentoring from senior business leadership, and the chance to receive a share of a £200,000K investment pot provided by L Marks and Belron. In addition, once the 12 week programme has been completed, one of the participating teams will be named overall winner of Drive and receive up to £100k of follow-on-funding!
Who are they Looking for?
The range of Startups being encouraged to apply for this opportunity is quite broad. Specifically, successful applications will come from those startups which demonstrate the potential to help Belron innovate within a number of areas, namely:

Knowledge and Insight: Products and services that can help Belron to gain a better understanding of its customers and market.

Improving Service and the Customer Experience: Innovations that can lend Belron an advantage in providing outstanding customer service, and that make its as easy as possible for customers to engage with the company.

Improving Productivity and Efficiency: Great ideas that have the potential to increase the productivity of people working at Belron. The team are especially keen to hear from startups that could help productivity of technicians and call centre agents.

Delivering Additional Services: innovations that will give Belron the chance to expand the services it provides to customers beyond what it currently offers.

Engagement with Field Employees: innovations that help Belron better engage with its technicians working on the road or in branches.
What Will Startups Get
All of the teams taking part in the programme will be partnered with one of Belron’s participating countries which include the US, Canada, Spain, France and Germany. Each will then be given the chance to trial their products and services within their assigned market giving an excellent opportunity to validate their business within the real world situations.
In addition teams will also get:

Access to expert mentoring from Belron senior leadership and experienced entrepreneurs.

Dedicated office space at Belron’s UK premises

Visits to Belron’s operation in your assigned test market in the US, Canada, Spain, France or Germany.

Access to an investment fund of £200,000.

The chance to attend the ‘Best of Belron 2016’ event in Lisbon in May.
Applications opened on 15th February 2016, and are open to startups at any stage of development.
