Dressipi - innovation in fashion retail

by Startacus Admin
The lowdown on Dressipi, the startup that's using AI and machine learning to transform how fashion retailers engage with their customers.
Some people love shopping, and some people hate it. Either way, when you need clothes, it would be nice if you were only looking at the kinds of things that actually interest you, rather than pushing aside dozens of items you wouldn’t look at twice to get to that one thing at the back that looks to be your style. Wouldn’t it be better for everyone to have suggestions provided to you based on what you like and the kind of thing you’re there to find?
London-based fashion-tech startup Dressipi has created a platform that gives retailers the tools and insights they need to personalise each shopping experience to the customer, making it easier and quicker for them to find just what they want, even if they don’t know yet what that is.
The platform uses machine learning and artificial intelligence to develop brand data with fashion attributes applied to products by human stylists, taken and applied at scale. This allows the platform to deliver personalised and accurate suggestions based on what the customer is looking for, whether it’s clothing for work, or a holiday in the sun, or just for the gym. The machine learning algorithm learns from the customer’s behaviour and buying habits to become even more accurate and provide better suggestions to them personally, which increases conversion and encourages retention.
Dressipi can also be used by retailers to better understand their customers’ wants and needs in order to make better purchase decisions themselves. By making informed decisions that meet their specific supply and demand requirements, they save money and prevent waste. And with 92 tonnes of fashion textile waste being accumulated every year, anything that helps cut down on that is off to a good start.
