Domino Clamps aims to revolutionise shipping container reuse

by Startacus Admin
UK Startup Domino Clamps has created an out-of-the-box Solution to revolutionise shipping container reuse...We’ve seen shipping containers being used in ever more inventive ways in recent years and that is set to continue with the launch of Domino Clamps. This is the flagship product from Container Clamps Ltd and is an innovative out-of-the-box solution for attaching almost anything to a shipping container safely and securely, without damaging the container.
The concept of Domino Clamps originated in 2014 when founder and inventor Justin Beardall was working as a production manager in the event industry. At the time, he was seeking a simple, reversible way of repurposing shipping containers for structural support and for various other uses on site. However when he realised that the product he was looking for didn’t exist, he decided to create his own.
Justin designed the product and was assisted by a small team of engineers, structural engineers and product designers over a two year period. The product is manufactured exclusively in the UK, at a Midlands drop-forge that also produces engine components for the aerospace industry.
All sorts of industry sectors are using repurposed shipping containers - from construction and renewable energy through to portable power and event production. Container conversions are also being increasingly used for other purposes such as office spaces and workshops, retail premises and even housing.
Launching the product, founder Justin Beardsell said: “I’m very proud of how having brought this idea to life and look forward to seeing our customers use our product to realise their own ideas. There are an almost endless number of ways in which containers can be used and reused, and for each of those ways are a dozen more uses for Domino Clamps.”
A great idea leading to a great product and we reckon a great future for Container Clamps!
