Digital DNA- A Month Long Digital Showcase

by Startacus Admin
Belfast's Digital DNA certainly has come a long way since we reported on its inaugural event over 3 years ago.
What was once a single-day event, attracting a modest but highly motivated audience of business and technology enthusiasts, has blossomed into an ambitious and exciting month long event, with a wide remit of topics, a diverse list of attendees, and a fast-growing reputation as one of Ireland’s premier technology / business related events.
Digital DNA was first created as a way to showcase the best technological practices, solutions, and expertise in order to enable local businesses to be more efficient and profitable. A worthy endeavour indeed, and one which has continued to this day- but of course with a few expansions and additions.
This year, Digital DNA will be bigger than ever with 4 separate events pertaining to different areas of technology taking place over the course of the second half of October and the first half of November.
The events on the calendar are; Digital Business, Digital Tourism, Digital Futures, and Digital Social.
Digital Business - Thursday 15th October
Current and emerging technologies will take centre stage during this portion of the conference, as local business leaders are inspired to embrace technology as a way to grow and scale their enterprise.
Digital Tourism - Thursday 12th November
The impacts of the growth in ‘digital’ have been particularly widely felt within the travel and tourism industries, and this event will showcase how technology is being used by businesses from across NI to attract more customers as well as boost revenues and profits.
Digital Futures - Wednesday 14th October
Digital Futures will form a comprehensive programme aimed at inspiring and enabling young people in NI to become more involved with key digital skills such as computer programming, software development, and digital design. It will encompass a six-week roadshow travelling to schools around the country which will promote entrepreneurship and careers within these fields.
The event on the 14th October will help to educate the young people about the various areas of digital design and innovation, and to contextualise its role within the future growth of the local economy.
Digital Social - Thursday 15th October
Digital Social will be exactly as you would expect… a digital Social!
It will take the form of a casual evening which will include inspirational speakers, live music, food, beer, wine and cocktails.
The great part is that if you attend any of the other Digital DNA events, you will get free entry to this one!
