by Startacus Admin
Based in the UK or Ireland and got an innovative early-stage idea for the health sector? Validate that idea via the DigiHealth pre-accelerator - applications now open.
Healthcare innovators - this is for you!
The DigiHealth Lean Launch Programme is now open for applications from teams with a Digital Health Innovation from across the UK & Ireland. Over the course of this online 10-week Market Discovery programme, participants will use Lean Start-up Methodology to rapidly test whether there is a market for Digital Health Innovation products or services based on their research - all from the comfort of their workplace or home.
During the programme which is being run by Queen’s University and The Helix Way, and supported by Kainos, We Are Pioneer Group and Innovate UK, participants will undertake:
-
Market Explorer - a Pre-bootcamp report to provide insights into their potential customers, competitors and suppliers in addition to comprehensive IP landscape analysis within their sector
-
Bootcamp Training - a 3-day online bootcamp during which teams will develop a hypothetical business model for the commercialisation of their idea.
-
Market Validation - a tailored market discovery journey to test their business model, including bi-weekly 1-hour coaching clinics from experts to help with taking research ideas to market.
-
Pitch training - a 1-day online pitch training session during which teams will learn to pitch ideas to both potential customers and investors.
-
Options Roundabout Pitches - the opportunity to pitch findings to an experienced panel of funders, stakeholders and investors to get valuable feedback and advice to help progress their business ideas.
In addition to these bootcamps, training sessions and tailored support, participating teams will also receive £2,500 for market discovery activities and £1,200 for business adviser support to help with the validation of their ideas.
It has been recommended that applicants should build a team which includes an entrepreneurial lead as well as a team of technical and industry specialists. The organisers are also committed to improving diversity across all programmes and are particularly keen to receive applications from under-represented groups including women, people of colour, those with disabilities, those from the LGBTQI+ communities and Universities who have not previously participated in our programmes.
Further info on the programme can be found via the QUB Innovation Programmes site and applications must be submitted by Thursday 25th August.
Best of luck to all who apply!
