Dearbump crowdfunding to support UK’s first corporate pregnancy programme

Liverpool startup, Dearbump launches crowdfunding campaign to support development and growth of its wellbeing support programme for expectant employees.
Liverpool-based startup Dearbump is set to launch an innovative new programme aimed at empowering and supporting working mothers whilst also helping businesses to save time, talent and money.
The programme is targeted towards pregnant employees and aims to support them throughout their pregnancy and return to work by providing everything from advice and information and emotional support through to gift deliveries and wellbeing checks.
Dearbump was started in 2017 when its founder and CEO Emma Jarvis became pregnant and concerned by the lack of information and pregnancy products, set about creating a brand to provide support and guide women through pregnancy.
Emma’s own maternity experience, with no contact by her former employer during her maternity leave and a lack of support upon her return was also the inspiration for this new corporate scheme. Recognising that her experiences were not unique, Emma wanted to create a programme that would empower women and support mothers.
Dearbump has just launched a crowdfunding campaign via Seedrs to help develop this much-needed scheme and expand it to businesses nationwide.
Emma Jarvis explains: “Studies have shown that the lack of support and a poorly managed reintegration back into the workplace are responsible for women feeling unhappy at work or leaving their job altogether. Despite these shocking numbers, there are currently no programmes in place to combat this and no official guidance for employers or employees to ensure a smooth transition for working mothers. Dearbump’s goal is to tackle this gap in the market to help employees feel happier at work, saving employers billions of pounds in replacement costs in the process.”
The Dearbump crowdfunding campaign is currently live so if you’d like to support this innovative wellbeing startup, you can do just that!
