Cyber Security Startup Accelerator CyLon

by Startacus Admin

If you run a cyber security startup you’ll be interested to know that Europe’s pioneering Cyber Security accelerator ‘CyLon’ is open for applications again.
Founded by leading experts in security, investment, and policy, CyLon offers entrepreneurs the platform they need to build and grow a successful cyber security company.
The fifth programme cohort begins in March 2017 and runs for 13 weeks; you’ll need to make your application by 27th January 2017 if you want to be considered.
What does the programme entail?
To date, the team at CyLon have accelerated 30 cyber security startups through the early stages of growth with a strong focus on training, expert mentorship, and investment.
If chosen as one of the participating businesses, your startup will receive £15K investment for a 3% share of equity, as well as connections to a wide network of relevant experienced mentors, potential customers, investors, and support networks.
The £15K investment is intended to allow startups to fully commit to the accelerator over its 13-week period; there will also be a demo day at the end where participants will have the opportunity to pitch for further funding.
In addition participating startups will get:
-
Introductions to investors throughout the programme.
-
Intensive training on the challenges and opportunities faced by cyber security startups.
-
Training and skills development in a wide range of topics from business fundamentals and recruitment to product pricing and technical training.
-
Introductions to leading figures from industry and government who can deliver talks, help arrange business development trips and form connections with potential partners and customers.
-
Free office space and amazing lunch.
Who Should Apply?
Applications are welcomed from cyber security startups working in a variety of industry sectors - from defence to retail, telecoms to financial services technology, digital media industries to health services. Early stage startups, as well as those at a more developed stage will all be considered for a place on the programme.
If you are unsure of your suitability, you can take a look at some of the recent participants.
