Ready Burger secure investment to drive forward expansion plans and bring plant-based food to the masses
Fab news for plant-based pioneers, Ready Burger as they have just closed their first funding round with crowdcube, raising £2M to help support their mission of bringing an affordable, fully inclusive vegan, halal, dairy-free menu to the high street.
The team have ambitious plans to roll out the UK's first scalable, value-driven, fully plant-based QSR brand.
In addition to mastering the science behind taste & texture of plant-based foods to make them indistinguishable from their conventional counterparts, they have also adopted a progressive approach to sustainability - a Ready Burger uses 70% less water to make than its beef burger counterpart, emits 92% less greenhouse gas emissions than a beef burger and requires 93% less land to produce.
Speaking on the crowdfunding success, Max Miller, CEO and Co-founder, Ready Burger said; “This investment will allow us to continue to drive forward our ambitious expansion plans, opening further venues across London, then nationally and eventually internationally, to bring plant-based food to the masses. It will also enable us to invest in the best food technology, innovative solutions and continue to ensure we deliver consistency of service and quality of product at each phase of growth.”
The team have already opened their first restaurant in Crouch End, are soon to launch a second restaurant on Finchley Road, and have a third and fourth site already in the pipeline.
Exciting times ahead for these innovative plant-based pioneers!
