Currently in private beta, Claimer wants to be the app for R&D tax credits, helping businesses to easily
get money back from their R&D spend and at a fraction of the current cost, with a flat 5% fee.
As a quick explainer, R&D Tax Credits is a UK Government tax initiative designed to help companies to invest in R&D. The UK Gov can obviously do better job at explaining the R&D tax credits scheme than us.
Currently most companies currently use specialist R&D Tax credit agencies to help them complete their tax credits claim. But those agencies can cost businesses a huge sum - often as much as 30% of the claim's value.
Step forward new app, Claimer which is aiming to disrupt this R&D tax credits gravy train.
With Claimer, businesses can complete an R&D tax credit claim with no accounting or tax knowledge, for a fraction of the cost (a flat 5% fee) and saving you time too.
Claimer has already reclaimed over £50k for startups in its first two weeks, claiming to have saved them £10k in fees vs specialist agencies and several thousand pounds compared to independent accountants.
In terms of time-saver, Claimer, suggests it will take a business between 20-60 minutes to input their key information, and then they process your report (using their R&D experts) and submit the claim within a matter of hours - usually the same day - with no hidden fees. Bingo.
