City Unrulyversity

City Unrulyversity
You’ve probably heard of pop up shops, restaurants and even pubs, but what about a University? Well if you're a wannabe entrepreneur and based in and around London, City Unrulyversity may just for you...
Brought to Tech City by Unruly, a Global leader in Social Video Advertising, City Unrulyversity is a free pop-up University with an aspiration to “inform, inspire and empower” the next generation of Entrepreneurs.
Happening every Wednesday from 6-8pm there are 5 main types of session taught by leading academics from London’s City University:
- Stuff You Need to Know: Covers the basics of a core business, tech, or design topic
- Masterclass: Gives you a peek into a more advanced topic and focuses research and insights in a particular field
- How To: A hands-on workshop in which you literally learn how to do something
- Theory Meets Practice: An academic teams up with a leading practitioner to deliver the session
- Head-to-Head: Two experts take opposing views on a topic and battle it out
Kicking off this Wednesday on the subject of Fast Track Venturing, there are currently 9 pop up sessions confirmed and which will be running until April 24th.
Unruly admittedly has an obvious vested interest in the Entrepreneurial community and although it is based in Tech City itself, this is still a rather generous and grand gesture for the local wannabe entrepreneurs.
For some of us, University may be a distant memory although our student fondness for ‘free stuff’ may still be alive and well, which is why we reckon these free sessions are sure to be popular.
We’ll be keeping our eyes and ears peeled on this one...
