Cashback App GreenJinn Goes Into Overfunding in the Final 24hrs of Campaign

Crowdfunding Success! Cashback app GreenJinn, goes into overfunding, raising over £670,000 in their Crowdcube campaign.
We recently told you all about GreenJinn, an app offering personalised cashback coupons on everyday groceries, who were aiming to raise £600k via a crowdcube crowdfunding campaign to add new brands and shops and to take their tech to the next level.
We are now delighted to share word that they successfully closed their crowdfunding round on Crowdcube with a flurry of investments, raising £670,590 - 111% of their initial 600k target. Their campaign was extended due to ongoing negotiations with multiple investors and went into overfunding in the final 24hours of the campaign, picking up several large investments.
Investments from their 268 ‘Green-vestors’ ranged from £10 to £120,000, coming from mix of loyal app users, executives, CEO’s and industry insiders.
GreenJinn’s mission is relatively straightforward: give quick and easy cashback to those looking to save money in the supermarket. Founders Giuseppe Licari and Roberto Amerighi were looking for a more time and effort-efficient way of saving money on groceries. So, they created an app that provides fast cashback on healthy, everyday products.
Since it’s release just one year ago, GreenJinn has built a 45,000+ strong community of shoppers and has recently started testing Tesco with users. The app currently works for Sainsbury’s and Waitrose. Based on feedback from their users, GreenJinn gave their app design an overhaul last month and intend to keep up the momentum… the funds raised are being used to add even more (online and offline) stores and brands, improve their personalisation system as well as growing the GreenJinn Team.
Hot off the heels of their successful raise, GreenJinn expects 2018 to be a big year for them, as they get ready to start rapidly growing their user base and make big improvements to the app. Big congrats to team GreenJinn from Startacus HQ!
