Cannabis Startups that are Flying High

by Startacus Admin

Cannapreneurs rejoice! With cannabis (marijuana) becoming legal in more and more states in America, related legitimate startups are ready to bask in the (possibly short-lived) golden age of cannabis business. The key is to create a scalable business that doesn’t just rely on the current novelty of cannabis’s legality.
Here are 10 such startups.
Printabowl
Looking to balance form and function, as well as help mature the industry, Printabowl offers a select range of 3D-printed ‘elevation instruments’ to enhance the user’s smoking experience whilst giving your home an elegant piece of fine art.
New Frontier
New Frontier provides analytics, data, and market research for the cannabis industry through their platform, Equio. Providing real-time data compiled from members and social media, combined with customised research, gives cannabis businesses the data insights they need to make the right decisions and stay ahead of the competition.
Grow Buddy
Grow Buddy is an agricultural management app specifically designed for cannabis growing. Gathering together the data associated with your plants helps you to work out what works and what doesn’t, and the journal allows you to compare harvests, create schedules, set tasks, and much more. There is an anonymous, lite social media aspect to the app that allows growers to ask and answer questions, while easily adding data from your journal to support your words. Lastly, Grow Buddy includes a marketplace for seeds, lights, nutrients, and anything else your garden needs.
Precise Cannabis
With the stigma associated with cannabis, good PR is necessary to show that a business is more than some stoners trying to get rich quick. Thought leadership and PR experts, Precise Cannabis looks to transform cannabis businesses into brands, using their credibility with the media to build that business’s own credibility and grow sales.
Potbotics
Potbotics is a medical marijuana platform consisting of 3 products for the patient, the doctor, and the grower. PotBot eliminates the need for patients to experiment, and has them taking the right strain and cannabinoid level for their ailment. BrainBot is an EEG helmet that allows doctors to analyse patients’ neural response to cannabinoid stimulants in order to find the correct strain and levels for them. NanoPot is a DNA reader that helps growers to customise their growth plans for specific strain, allowing them to optimise growth.
Jane
Due to the complexities of federal vs state law in America, the legal cannabis industry is still cash only. This would be a headache for legitimate businesses, but certainly for one in an industry like cannabis, which is almost certainly going to see more audits than the norm. The Jane products are the answer to this headache. While Jane has an order-ahead app and an in-store ordering platform, the real problem-solver is the Jane kiosk. The kiosk allows customers to verify their order and identity with order code recognition and scanning of QR codes, medical cards, ID cards, and fingerprints. Customers pay for their order, take their receipt to the counter, and get their prescription. Not only does this leave staff free to help other customers, but the kiosk includes detailed reporting to include with accounts.
Hemp Temps
Colorado-specific Hemp Temps is a staffing agency specific to the Marijuana industry. Staffing needs can change rapidly, and Hemp Temp can supply quality temps to assist licensed growers with any stage of growing, harvesting, trimming, and packaging.
Eaze
Eaze is a delivery service for medical marijuana, allowing you to get your prescription in the same way you would a pizza. All you need is a medical marijuana card and access to the internet, and Eaze will be on your doorstep within minutes.
MassRoots
MassRoots is the Facebook of marijuana enthusiasts. With other social media platforms deleting anything related to marijuana, on top of the continuing stigma associated with using it, the obvious move was to create a social media platform specifically for these users. As well as the same social aspect as the likes of Facebook, MassRoots keeps users informed with latest cannabis-related news, and gives them a way to keep up to date with their local dispensaries.
HerbFront
HerbFront is a property listing site specifically tailored to the legal cannabis industry. American zoning laws make it harder to find a property that is compliant when it comes to cannabis, so HerbFront is the place to go to find or list properties ideal for turning into cannabis retail units or the perfect patch of land to legally grow cannabis.Subscribe to our newsletter
