Camp Nothing

by Startacus Admin
A little while ago we ran a feature on the frankly quite awesome Good for Nothing initiative which is all about ‘smart folk collaborating and experimenting to solve stuff that matters.’
Since then more and more people have been getting involved with the result that Good for Nothing chapters are popping up all over the place. And the good news is that lots more are on their way since there are plans afoot to create Good for Nothing chapters in 15 more cities across the UK.Fancy getting involved yourself? Well if you’re smart, resourceful and creative, a soulful do-er, dreamer or changemaker, you can!
Later this year - between Friday 20th - Sunday 22nd September to be precise, Camp Nothing will take place. It’ll be a 48 hour weekend of doing, making, learning and mentoring. Participants will work on live Good for Nothing challenges with social entrepreneurs, go through all the toolkits and resources that have been developed by the Good for Nothing community and receive mentoring from the GFN founders and current chapter leaders. Add to that the fact that attendees will be able to hear some amazing speakers, eat great food, enjoy music as well as meet and collaborate with some of the UK’s most inspiring change makers and you can see why this will be a weekend to remember.
And once the weekend’s over, it’s time to do it all over again! The idea is that attendees will go back and start their very own Good for Nothing chapters where they live.
For more details on applying simply visit the Good for Nothing site and all will be revealed. Good luck if you do!
