Calling on all 18-30 year-olds in the UK with innovative business ideas

by Startacus Admin
Innovate UK and The Prince’s Trust are seeking 18-30-year-olds with ambitious business ideas that could turn into important innovations
If you’re 18-30 years old, are based in the UK and have a great business idea this is for you! Innovation UK has partnered with The Prince’s Trust to find young people from across the UK with innovative ideas that they can help turn into successful businesses.
They have launched The Young Innovators Awards 2021/22 and are interested in supporting young people who are working on a wide range of business ideas, types, sectors, products, processes, and services.
If you’re interested in applying, your innovative idea should:
-
address a problem
-
be innovative
-
be significantly better than what is currently on offer including from existing businesses
The Awards will provide financial support in the form of a £5K grant, a living allowance as well as a tailored package of expert advice, coaching and mentoring directly to the successful applicants.
All applications must be in by 11.00am on 28 July 2021 and the selection process will then begin!
If you’re successful, you'll be notified in October and then the Awards programme will kick off in December 2021. It’ll be an exciting end to the year for some!
You can find out more info on the Awards including the criteria, the support on offer as well as what the programme will entail by checking out the Innovate UK site.
An online briefing event is scheduled for 15 June so it’d be worthwhile checking that out too!
Best of luck to all who apply!
