Business Planning Week
by Startacus Admin
If you’re thinking about starting a business, you’ll not really get very far if you don’t create a Business Plan. It’s a mistake to assume that you can just drift along and deal with things in an ad hoc random manner - planning is a must! Whilst for some people drawing up a Business Plan may not be too daunting a task, for others even the very thought of it can be an ordeal in itself.
Whichever camp you fall into, next week’s national Business Planning Week ought to be of interest.
The week long initiative runs from 11th - 17th February and will see participants being able to work their way through the creation of a Business Plan, one day at at time.
Over the course of the week, free guidance and support will be given on the following key elements:
- Defining Your Business & Aims
- Understanding Customers & Market Research
- Marketing & Sales Strategy
- Operations & Logistics
- Financials, Funding & Forecasting
- Staffing & Skills
- Pulling it all together; Developing Your Action Plan
Templates will be provided every day for each of these components and participants will get guidance and support from hands-on business experts in completing them. There will also be an interactive forum where you can directly ask questions, share experience and network with seasoned experts as well as other business startups and owners.
Full details of registering for the initiative can be found on the Business Planning Week site.
When you consider that you only need to schedule an hour out of your day to go through each of the elements, it’d surely be worth it! And don't forget - it's all free!
