Business Jargon in the Workplace – what do office workers really think about it?

Thanks to the ever-increasing number of office jobs, some strange terminology has wheedled its way into the everyday language of workers nationwide; business jargon. “Blue sky thinking”, “touching base” and “going offline” - these are just a handful of examples of the many peculiar phrases frequently used by professionals in the workplace.

What do your colleagues really think of you when you start sprouting this seemingly nonsensical tripe? As a matter of fact, more than a thousand British workers were quizzed in order to find out the answer to that very question.

Can’t decide whether to carry on using this commonly recognised way of speech or revert back to plain (and comprehensible) old English? The following interactive infographic created by Powwownow which compiles the answers given by the workers questioned might just help you make your mind up.
