BMW’s Innovation Lab 2020 returns for latest sprint

by Startacus Admin

BMW Group Financial Services UK gets ready for its first 10-week innovation lab of 2020 and also opens applications for the next two sprints focused on improving internal customer-led efficiencies or tech solutions that provide valuable data insights and analytics.
BMW Group Financial Services UK is currently preparing to welcome two startups that are focusing on the challenge of ‘Embracing the Next Curve of Individual Premium Mobility’ to its Innovation Lab run in collaboration with corporate innovation specialists, L Marks.
At the recent Pitch Day held at BMW UK Headquarters, eleven startups presented their solutions and two were selected to join the first of three back to back startup engagement programmes. Executives from the wider BMW Group, as well as external subject matter experts, were invited to participate in the selection process.
The Pitch Day gave the startups an opportunity to showcase their solutions and broaden their network in the automotive finance industry while it provided BMW executives with the opportunity to deep dive into the proposals and appreciate different perspectives from within the BMW Group and beyond. The event encouraged collaboration by engaging multiple business units, thereby increasing the opportunities for the startups involved.
BMW’s Innovation Lab 2020 is now seeking applications for the next two programme sprints, which will focus on the areas of improving internal customer-led efficiencies or ideas that provide valuable data insights and analytics. As well as this, L Marks will be searching on an ongoing basis for innovative and pioneering ideas for the “Wildcard” category.
The next cohort of innovative startups that are selected to take part in the Lab will receive dedicated mentorship from the senior management, the opportunity to test their solutions in live customer environments and also the opportunity to work in the collaborative environment of the company’s UK HEad Office in Farnborough. The startups will also receive scale-up advice from external subject matter experts.
Further details on the BMW Innovation Lab and how to apply can be found on the BMW Innovation Lab website. All applications for this fantastic opportunity must be received by 23:59 GMT on Sunday, 26th April.
Best of luck to all who apply!
